Feeling vs Reacting
an introduction to the practice at the heart of
The embodied Heart
Much of what we call “feeling” is often reaction, patterned responses shaped by our history, conditioning, and nervous system’s attempts to stay safe.
Feeling is something more direct.
It does not require you to force, fix, release, or understand your experience. It simply asks for your choice to stay and allow.
This work is not about becoming emotionless or getting rid of your reactions. It is about learning how to stay close enough to yourself that your reactions no longer need to completely lead your life.
There is no right way to move through this. No urgency. No where to get to.
I hope it offers something meaningful to you.
